767 winglet is too short!!!!

Hi Captain Sim,
I am pretty sure alot of people have told you about this but I just want to throw this out there. The 767's winglets are way too short and not to scale. The winglets look like they might be a 757's winglets. To me they do not look 11 ft tall. I hope you fix this in a future update. Thank you for taking the time to read this message.

You have no idea how many threads were open on this subject and many other fixes that can be done with minor work. I just hope now that the 777 was released, the 767 can see the so much deserved updates...

You should really go back a few pages to read before starting another thread about something that has been reported many times...

Wink

Q: The winlgets for the 767 seem too small.
A: The issue is one the list for the next upgrade, and is forwarded to our development team. We will do our best to address the issue in the next upgrade.

There will be no more free updates for the 767 v1.x, so I assume that means they won't make any more changes to this 767. So I doubt you will see it happening until they confirm they are going to do a 767 v2.0, and create a wishlist forum, like they have done for the 757 v5.0.  Sad

I guess you can make the changes only for you. I honestly doubt you'd be allowed to share them. Wink

Is that even possible? Maybe we can try to make the PW4000 engine more realistic too.

There has been some debate here on their 767 PW engine modelling as well over the time, you might wanna surf around and check the threads or you can do something really easy, search a pic of the CS 767 PW and open up a real PW 767 and just compare the engine. The difference should be pretty obvious.

I don't know what kind of programs and skills someone would need to make this winglets bigger.

That's too bad, I guess the world just wasn't meant to see proper winglets in the CS767  Grin Undecided

I hope in the near future I win the lottery, but back to FSX, I don't mind flying the plane with no winglets as long as it's with airlines that don't use them like FedEx, UPS, Air Canada, etc. I must be kinda nuts as it actually annoys me when I use 'em and look 'em. But hey, at least you tried.

I don't worry about them. They make no difference to the performance of the CS767 (in FSX) as they are only a visual difference. Grin
