Is there a way to get the fuel gauge to display in LBS? Or do all the 767s display in KGS?

I have already don it, so I have uploaded the file to Rapidshare and you can download and use it. The file inside the ZIP file is called Captain_Sim.b767.oh.MOD.CAB, so that you can place it in the panel older without overwriting the original. Rename the original Captain_Sim.b767.oh.CAB and then rename the Captain_Sim.b767.oh.MOD.CAB to Captain_Sim.b767.oh.CAB, that way you can revert to the original if you want to.

NOTE! I did not modify the textures, so it still shows KGS and not LBS. Sorry, but I'm not good at that sort of thing.

BACKUP THE Captain_Sim.b767.oh.CAB FIRST!!!!

Thanks, Mark! Do you have mods for the 757 and 727 also?

I have also done it for the 757. As it is with the 767 mod, it is for the 757, the mod is named Captain_Sim.b757.oh.MOD.CAB and here is the link:

As for the 727, I've never done it because mine already shows the fuel weight in pounds and not Kilos.

By the way. In answer too the question do all the 767s display in KGS? I think the answer is yes. This is what lead to the problem of a lack of fuel being added to the Gimli Glider's fuel tanks.

Nick,

Each operator in the real 767, 757 etc. can display the fuel in either pounds or kilos depending how the maintenance folks set the unit up.
Usually, this is a corporate decision for the entire fleet. Same goes with the ADI display and which flight director is used.

Thanks, Lou.

My guess is that American Airlines uses pounds, but would you be able to confirm that? I like to get my airplanes as close to AA's as possible. Do you know if there are and mods to edit the flight director to the V shape?

All U.S. airlines use pounds.

As for the change in the ADI... in the real plane it is just a quick software command by the tech staff. In FSX who knows???  Wink

Having flown both types of F/D's, the yellow bird is much better.

Hmmm...maybe Mark or someone else knows. Maybe it's a complex process who knows. I wouldn't think so because some addons you can change it though their ACE equivalent. Others you can change on the fly.  Huh

Sorry Nick, but I don't know if or how you can. Sad So if you can't change it using ACE, I'm stumped if I can change it. Not only that, I'm not very good with XML (or C++ coding, which I think that is what Captain Sim use for the GAU files).

As for the changing from Kilos to pounds, I got that from a this topic: http://www.captainsim.org/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1245096833,  in the 757 Captain - General forum

Changes from when it was originally posted are:
757_OH_14_fuel_OT001.XML is now named OH_14_fuel_OT001.XML
and
757_OH_14_fuel_1.XML is now named OH_14_fuel_1.XML, which was a no-brainer for me. Wink

I don't know why the original poster (Necroscope) did not want to change the size of the data readout (fuel quantities and temperature) as they tended not to fit in the gauges very well, so I shrunk them a bit. I did us his brighter color though because I found it easier to read.

Hmm... too bad. Hopefully they'll include it in 2.0/5.0 because that is a feature I want VERY MUCH for the 757/767. Features! features! features!  Cheesy

markoz, I attempted to download your mod for the 767 and rapidshare says permission denied.  Any way you could make it available again so I could snag it?  Thanks a ton...
