engine start with from cold&dark procedure
I load standard cessna, shut down, engine, battery and avonic
Load C130J
start GTC procedure
connect AC Bus and DC bus
Engine fuel enrichment auto
oil cooler flaps auto
aux pump on
engine succ pump on
ground speed button down
engine bleed Air valve Nr 3 open
throttle Nr3 air start
ground start button nr 3  press.
all boost tank pumps are on

but in all cases engine doesn't start

If I use Ctl+E engines starts no 4 no3 no2 no1 step by step without effects if fuel pumps are on or off

It seams to be a basic problem.
Are ther anybody with ideas?

The Condition Levers have to be in "Run" Position. This could be a bit fiddly, the lever has to be exact in postion - 1 mm above or under the engine won't start Smiley

I suggest to save the flight with "hot and warm" C-130 (engines running), this saves times and nerves. I only use engine start procedure very rare.

Sometimes it's easier to start the engines using the 2D panels (SHIFT+2 > Overhead panel (upper) button and  Throttle Quadrant panel) rather than the VC panels. Sometimes the engines start just by left clicking on the 2D Throttle Quadrant panel to move the condition levers to AIR START!

I believe the start problem is solved.
If there no fuel in tank 3 and 2 you must open the fuel pumps all the time

But the other basic problem is not solved
During the flight suddenly radio panel, autopilot and radar pennel shuts down. You can continue the flight but without orientation.
All electric energy is on.
This error does not observe at every flight.

Ideas from anybody?

I need

I set the Copilot AC Instruments Switch and AC instrument and Engine Switch, on the OH panel (lower), to the Essential AC Bus (yellow lines) once the engines are started, and I don't lose electrical power during my flights.

I've explained this in my reply #21.

I think your Power-Switches are not set correctly. Look again, maybe you have confused the positions.

I can confirm your observetion.
If I start in cold&dark the condition levers are in the feather position
If I touch the the levers they jump in the run position exactly.
I think this was a reason for engine start problems too

You are sure both switches to connect with AC-bus.
As learned from turorial Co-pilot ro AC-bus and AC instrumen to DC-bus

I fight with the freezing problem of Radio panel digits and autopilot
After flight EDDG-EDDN without problems I bring the airplane referred to th checklist in cold&dark status.
Some times later I would start again to EDDT but Radio panel digit and autopilot switches are frozen.
The same situation after restart Windows.
But if I shut down the computer completely no problem with Radio digits and autopilot switch.
This situation is absolut unpleasant  Angry

Strange problem you have. The problem have to be outside of the C-130. Maybe an other version of FSUPIC would help? It goes without saying that you also familiar with the uiautomationcore.dll? This file have to be in the root directory of FSX.

Furthermore it is obvious to run the FSX "as administrator".

dear all,
it is an absolut desaster with this flight.
I start the computer (win7 64bit)fresh, load FSX as admin, load cessna and shut down, load C-130 and start the engines.
But during the flight suddenly only radio panel and autopilot panel dont work. Autopilot panel shut down
No values input or other activities are possible on both panels.

Add this line electric_always_available=1 in the [electrical] section of the aircraft.cfg (if it is not already there).

[electrical]
max_battery_voltage=24
generator_alternator_voltage=28
max_generator_alternator_amps=60
electric_always_available=1
autopilot=0, 5, 17
avionics_bus=0, 10, 17
avionics=1, 5, 17
gear_warning=0, 2, 17
fuel_pump=0, 5, 17
fuel_transfer_pump = 0, 5, 17
light_nav=0, 5, 17
light_beacon=0, 5, 17
light_landing=0, 5, 17
light_taxi=0, 5, 17
light_strobe=0, 5, 17
light_panel=0, 5, 17

Having that there should prevent the loss of the avionics during the flight.
