777 lighting

It would be nice if the lights on the 777 would light up the ground when flashing, as shown in the video-

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VgzLdrFGT7s

Note- please skip to 2:25 to see the effect of the strobe lights illuminating the ground.

This lighting aspect gives a very realistic feeling and ties the plane in with the surrounding environment. I have noticed on nearly every add-on aircraft for fsx- 99% don’t have this feature, although landing lights are a diffrent case.

Even with the ‘3d light redux’ addon- I was not able to achieve this effect. This sort of thing has been done with the new precision manuals’ 737, and it look absolutely beautiful.

Here is a clip showing the 777- just to prove that the 777's high wing lights still cast a light which is strong enough to reach the ground.

It would also be great if the 777 had actual rwy turnoff lights which functioned separately (left, right).

I take it you mean the new way of lighting the ground (as per Carenado, Aerosoft and that OTHER dev, just to name a few), and not the old way, like Captain Sim still use.

The old way does light up the ground, as long as you checkmark the option in the settings - ALT > Options > Settings > Display > Aircraft > Aircraft landing-lights illuminate ground (under Exterior settings).

Thanks Mark I will check that setting - I am referring to the wing lights that blink on the runway - ground - as in the other 777 - you no what I  mean  Wink

+1 on this.

I think it would be even better to work on the actual lights on the Aircraft.

Instead of having the corona flashing it would look much better with a red texture that also has a corona. Would make it look much brighter.
