I tried it, but I have grey (looks like a grey undercoat) areas where it should be some other colour. I have no idea if this area was missed when Dave was doing the repainting, or if there is a BMP file that is completely missing. This only happens when I include the
texture.spectre as
fallback.1. If I just copy the
texture.cfg from the
texture.spectre folder and paste it into the
texture.warlord folder, then those areas are black (which looks a better than the grey).
I could ask Daveto fix it, but he is doing profession liveries for some other developers and so it could take some time to get it fixed (and that's only IF he is willing to fix it up for use in FSX).
In the man time, to get it to work in FSX, follow these instructions -
1. Create a texture.warlord folder in the
FSX\SimObjects\Airplanes\CS_EX2_AC130 folder.
2. Drag and drop the contents of the ZIP file into the newly created
texture.warlord folder.
3. Copy the
texture.cfg from the
CS_EX2_AC130\texture.spectre folder and paste it into the
CS_EX2_AC130\texture.warlord folder and allow it to overwrite the one already in there - do not drag and drop it as you will
move it, not copy it!
4. Rename the CS.jpg to thumbnail.jpg.
5. Add this to the aircraft.cfg in the CS_EX2_AC130 folder:
[fltsim.1]
title=CS AC130Extra2 1
sim=C130
model=15
panel=
sound=
texture=warlord
kb_checklists=
kb_reference=
atc_id=90609
atc_airline=Air Force
atc_flight_number=90609
ui_manufacturer=Lockheed
ui_type="AC-130 'Spectre'"
ui_variation="AC-130 'Warlord'"
ui_typerole="Multi-Engine TurboProp"
ui_createdby="Captain Sim"
description="'C-130 X-perience' Pro Pack v.1.3\n(c) 2008 Captain Sim

And it should work.
NOTE: So when you click on the email icon at the bottom of my replies, it doesn't open a new email message in your email program? Hmmm. I thought it would.
