Aircraft Payload

Each time I attempt to change the acft payload (not fuel quantity), my computer automatically shuts down and reverts back to my desktop.  What am I doing wrong?

I submitted a ticket and received a response which was NOT helpful at all.  They instructed me to look up KB #1004.  This had nothing to do with payload.  They also mentioned that this problem had already been mentioned and discussed.  Funny...I'm having "problems" finding it.
