Title: PFD, ND and Eicas
Post by Pitter on Jan 11th, 2018 at 3:48pm
Since a short while I have that problem. Overall screen looks good so far, except PFD, ND Eicas.  Those screens a very hard to read at normal zoom level. If I zoom in, so that I have only PFD and part of ND, then it is ok. But for normal ops I like to have at least PFD, ND and Eicas. I tried already NVIDIA Insp, but that give me additional strong blurries during turns only. I have tried diff settings which I have found on the usual sites, but really helping was non of them. Usual screen resolution is 1024, but also with 2048 is no change. What can I do to removed those pixelated from the PFD, ND, Eicas

correction to my above msg

you should reed Texture_max_load 1024/2048 instead of screen resolution

Sorry >:(

Download SimConnect.msi and install it, reboot your computer. Hopfully that will fix the problem.

Did you install it using "Run as administrator", by right click on it (the installer), and selecting "Run as administrator" from the list?
Also. Where is FSX installed? In the default location?

Yes, I always install FS stuff as admin.
No, FSX is installed in D:\.
I have two HD´s.  One is the "C" drive with Win7/64 only, and
D:\ is FSX complete, GSX, ASN.
This is a Flightsim only PC.

Okay. So it's got nothing to do with having a restricted access to FSX.

I think you need to delete the C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\CaptainSim\x772 folder (there is a "key_x772.dat" there, that is created when you acivate the 777 for FSX/SE). Once deleted, you will need to reinstall (make sure you reinstall it using the "Run as administrator" option), and reactivate the 777. I strongly recommend that you use the Manual Offline Activation method to activate it, as this tends to be more reliable. I use this method all the time now.

In case you forget the web address for activating offline, this is it: https://www.captainsim.com/activ/offline.php

I did that. Believe it or not: it is now much much better. I have no idea what a registration have to do with a pixeled indication, but
it is like it is. We leave it so, is not 100%, but is good now.
Thank you so much for your help. You  did a great job.

I'm glad it helped, but I would be happier if it was 100%, and not just "much much better". I figured that a reinstall, or reactivation, would have fix it 100% though.

If you had seen that as it was before, then you wil also say is much much better now.
We leave it as it is now. and next time it comes to a reinstall......... ;)
Once more thank you for your support

After I shut down the engines and restart them in the 777-200, the Navigation Display (ND) does not function properly, and I lose Autopilot (auto flight) functionality. I perused the internet and manuals but can not find a solution. I suspect something electrical, some buttons I need to press maybe? I hope its not the product itself.

Shutting down and restarting the engines in the 777-300ER does not negatively effect the ND and Autopilot (so far). They function normally before and after.

Have you considered trying to save, then load the flight? Doing that might fix your problems.  :-/

I find that I have to re-load the 777 once to get it to work properly.

It seems that all I had to do was set the initial position in the FMC to get the flight systems to align (sigh).

Thanks Markoz and David Paul for your responses :)
