Title: Captain sim 737-200???
Post by predator on Mar 4th, 2007 at 1:57pm
Hi Captain Sim, first of all thank you guys for your great job!!! I would like to ask you about the possibility on maybe planning a new project... Boeing 737-200ADV... you know, no other flight sim developer released it yet and it will be a great addition to the LEGENDARY model versions... what do you think... among all developers I ask you because I admire your quality specially in virtual cockpit models... Since the 737 has similar instruments and general layout like the 727 and 707 perhaps it will be very easy for you... There are seeeeeveral people looking forward for a good payware release for this model and besides you'll make happy many souls, you can make a good profit with it!!... Ohhh... please do it for FS9 too....Im too sad in seeing that 727 Captain is just for FSX!!!! why??? sincerely I think it is wrong since many users will not replace FS9 for quite a loooong time...

Thank you Captain sim and keep the good work!

If you want a good (and complete) -200 series, look for the "Tinmouse II" on Avsim.

Good?? well its flight dinamics arent good, the model isnt as detailed as a payware version, and has no VC panel... allright it's freeware.... but a payware version in Captain Sim's quality will be a great addition specially since Captain Sim carries the LEGENDARY lines... and along the 707 and the 727 the 737 is one onf Boeing's greatest achievement and is as legendary of 727's and 707's. just look at the success of other developers with advanced 737 add ons such as 600-800 series. The 737-200 despite its age still is the backbone of many many airlines in the world and deserves to be in a payware quality line such as captain sim.

Hello together...
Yes ,that was when dreams comes true... a 737-200 from Captain Sim, with a eye candy virtual CS cockpit and exteriors....
When we have a look in the Poll in General discusion we see that most people want 737-200 too !!!
I think with that strike Captain Sim can show the world of Payware Airplanes Developer who is the king in the ring!
And i think too, that would be a great Airplane for the Legendary lines!
And sorry, but the difference between a Tinmouse and at the moment fictional Captain Sim 737-200 was more then day and night .... (ok Tinmouse II its freeware)....only the name was the same,
therefore i am think this great difference can CaptainSim shown all the others they have build a Payware 737-200 before!

I hope and wish that comes reality one day...

with best wishes
hk

Ps:THX again for your unbelievable great work and fast support CS.

A Boeing 737-200 would be really good. But when they make it they should stop and fix the problems the other add-ons have.

I would pay good money for a Captain Sim quality Boeing 737-200, painted in the
US Air Force colors of the T-43A.

The USAF used the T-43A to train navigators and other "stuff".

Captain Sim rep mentioned a current products list?
Sure would like to take a peek at that list?

Yes, a 737-200... Advanced... where is it?

Well for the time being we can already practice on the 707 with engines 1 & 4 shut down.

No 737-200.  Boooo.  Yes it was the backbone.  I, however, feel it lacks uniqueness.  It's a two engine moderately sized airliner.

The 727 was unique in that it had three engines, swept back wings, was very fast, was somewhat more difficult to land than airliners of the day, handled like a fighter aircraft, and there were quite a few accidents due to pilots getting too footloose with her.

The 707 was unique in that it was a rather large airplane during its time (i think..), had four engines, and that test pilot Alvin M. "Tex" Johnson did a barrel roll in her during a demonstration flight over Lake Washington, Seattle, Washington USA.

The 757 is unique in that it is a rather large airliner with only two engines, sits relatively high off the ground compared to older airliners, and has newer systems and avionics.

Precision Manuals had made the 737-700 and -800 for FS9, those were good (i had the 700).

737-700 -800 are unique in that they have newer engines, very new avionics and equipment as well as winglets available as an option.

So there you have it, I don't see anything special about the 737-200 except that it was the backbone for the airlines for a very long time.

Well, thats just my opinion on the 737-200.  I could be totally missing something.  If I am, please let me know.  :)

Hi,

Don´t forget that it is the most sold commercial aircraft ever. And still very much in service world wide.  ;)

Count me in aswell for the B732.....with loading trucks and moving airstairs. And another important thing....for FS9.  :)

I for one would like to see the 737-200 as it was the aircraft that Frontier Made its comeback in Denver with. We have seen alot of the -400 and -800 and It would be good to have a Captain Sim Version of the -200. I would buy it, Of course I have been sold on Captain Sim and there Quality. I am also lookinig foward to the Buff.

Why don't you install the another company 737-200ADV?  Its for FS2004 but I installed it in FSX and everything works perfectly!  It also has a nice functioning virtual cockpit and you can also use the 737-200 sounds from Turbine Sound Studios which is a real treat.... :)

I didn't think another company made any commercial airline sims.  I didn't see any on their website.  Are you sure it is another company?

By the way I would definately purchase a Captain Sim 737-200 made like the 757 Block F.  Captain Sim's approach on building these sims is very unique, realistic and fun to fly.  I just can't say enough about my 757-200/300 Block F.
I do have some 737s that I really enjoy flying, but Captain Sim looks to make everything function in some way throughout the aircraft, not stopping at an extensive and realistic flightdeck and it is really awesome how he builds them.
The way I feel, if I have any interest in the real airplane, I will definitely buy Captain Sim's version of it. 8-) <----Captain Sim

I too would pay good money for a nice paware model of a 732/ I have been looking for one, but can't find any. I have the tinmouse, but meh, It's not the greatest.
I highly recommend that Captain Sim release a 737-200 to the public...they're quality simulations would do old "fat Albert" plenty of justice...
